Definitions Key
Achievement Title: A new title or rank is claimed at each level with increased percentages of bonus participation. You will always carry the title of the highest rank you reach, but are paid at the rank for which you qualify each month.
Active: An Independent Distributor is considered "Active" in a particular pay period that they maintain the minimum Personal Business Volume requirement applicable to the rank that they are qualifying for. $50 in PSV per month qualifies you for Fast Start Bonuses and to receive commissions on your first level.
Application and/or Agreement Form: This is a legal binding agreement between you and Elements for Life, which covers your rights, duties, and responsibilities and those of the Company. This is vital and necessary information. The Policies & Procedures manual is an extension of this Agreement and should be read carefully.
Autoship Program: This plan provides for an uninterrupted monthly supply of the Elements for Life inc. products that you and your clients demand. A Your credit card or checking account debited monthly through our secure system and the product is shipped right to your door. Autoship is an intelligent system designed to multiply your profits over and over again. Your AutoShip order actually represents your expected minimum business volume each and every month. By following the system provided in your Elements for Life business builders handbook you'll learn how to quickly and easily find regular monthly retail clients. We recommend you build that part of your business up to at least $300+ per month. For this reason we offer AutoShip packages ranging from $50 - $300 per month. Building a large, profitable, stable organization is actually much easier with an autoship system in place because everyone realizes that it keeps people motivated and generates the higher volume levels that enable the residual income that makes network marketing so attractive!
Business Kit: Tools, forms, tapes, brochures, manuals and application forms, relative to Elements for Life Inc. business opportunity, needed to begin your new business.
Branch: Same as a "Leg" Each Independent Distributor on your first level is part of your total Organization and is the beginning of a new "Branch". You may have an unlimited number branches or individuals on the first level of your organization. You and your entire Sales Organization form one "Branch" of your Sponsors Organization.
Commissionable Value (CV): The commissionable value is the assigned value of a product for purposes of calculating commissions and bonuses. A products commissionable value may be equal to or less than the total dollar value, depending on the product. This is different than Business Volume (BV) which is used for the purpose of calculating rank promotions and meeting monthly business volume qualification levels.
Company: Elements for Life inc.
Compensation Plan: (Sometimes called the "Distribution Plan") The official set of definitions and performance requirements, as published in Elements for Life inc. Independent Distributor Manual by which Elements for Life pays Distributors.
Compression: Commissions are earned by, and paid to, Independent Distributors that are Commission Qualified. When an Independent Distributor fails to meet the minimum maintenance requirements for earning bonuses at his titled position, the Company's computer searches through as many generations as needed until it finds an Active Independent Distributor who is Qualified for that position or higher, no matter how deep it has to search. The volume then "Compresses" past all non-Active Independent Distributor's in the Organization until it has satisfied its payout requirements with qualified Independent Distributor levels or Generations. The term "Compression" is used to describe the temporary condition that occurs when someone fails to meet the maintenance requirements for a particular pay period and the term. (See also "Rollup")
Deep: Deep is a term that refers to a concept meaning "many Generations away" or "many levels downline"
Distributor: This is an independent contractor whose Distributor Application and Agreement has been accepted by the Company. Upon acceptance of such Agreement by the Company, a Distributor is eligible to purchase the Company's products at a wholesale price for resale and can enroll and train other people into his / her network sales Organization. A Distributor is eligible to earn Commissions and Bonuses in accordance with the terms and provisions of the Compensation Plan.
Distributor I. D.#: The identification number used by the Company to identify each Independent Distributor for Compensation Plan purposes.
Distributor Wholesale Price: The price charged to Distributors by Elements for Life inc. for the Company's products. When a product is purchased at Distributor Wholesale and sold at Suggested Retail, the Distributor earns a retail profit.
Downline: Same as Personal Network or Genealogy Tree. Those people directly enrolled by an Independent Distributor, plus all the people whose line of sponsorship resulted from and came through that Independent Distributor. Your Downline consists of all Independent Distributors in your entire Genealogy Tree through 7 Generations of Branching.
Enroll: To sign and submit an Independent Distributor Application and Agreement form to Elements for Life inc. for the purpose of becoming an Independent Distributor for the Company.
Enrollee: An enrolling or newly enrolled Independent Distributor.
Enroller: Elements for Life inc. Independent Distributor who introduces a New Independent Distributor to the opportunity, explains the program, assists in the enrollment, and provides preliminary orientation and training to the Distributor. The Enroller can potentially be a different person than the Sponsor (the person a new enrollee is placed under.)
Enroller Lineage: Enroller Lineage is your Enroller, your Enrollers Enroller, sect all the way back to the company. This is Different than Sponsor Lineage, which follows Sponsor linkages only.
Enroller Relationship Bonus: Also known as a “Check Match Bonus” This bonus pays those who reach an achievement title of Silver a Check Match Bonus equivalent to 10% of the Monthly commission check of every personally enrolled enrollee. Check Match Bonus is in addition to all other bonuses and commissions that a Prosperity Partner might earn.

Fast-Start Bonus: Any distributor who achieves a personal sales volume of $300 in their first 30-day period qualifies for a 40% bonus on the first months Sales Volume of every personally enrolled distributor.
Front Line: Refers to all Independent Distributors that are personally enrolled and/or placed (Level 1) by a particular Distributor or by the Company. (See Primary Branches)
Fractal: A fractal is a geometric structure where all the parts fit together to create the same or similar structure or shape as each of the individual parts. This is the shape we see throughout all of nature and the way that plants and trees branch their branches, how the rivers delta divides like the lightning strikes. This is the same pattern we see in a healthy network marketing organization that grows quickly. Fractals are mathematical structures that are scalable to infinity. Genealogy Tree: The complete Organization of an Independent Distributor. Those people directly enrolled by an Independent Distributor, plus all the people whose line of sponsorship resulted from and came through that Independent Distributor. Your Organization consists of all Independent Distributors in your entire Genealogy Tree through 7 Generations of Branching. (See Generations and Branches)
Genealogy Report: A computer report containing names, addresses, phone numbers, Achievement Titles, performance, and linkage of the of the Organization.
Generation: Any distributors you sponsor, branch directly from your position and are your first Generation weather you personally enrolled them or they were placed there as spillover by your Enroller or Sponsor Lineage. Independent Representatives sponsored by your first generation is called your 2nd generation. (Also called 2nd level). The ones sponsored by your second Generation are your third Generation, etc. (See Level)
Group Volume (GV): GV is the commissionable volume generated by the IR and the IRs entire organization through 7 levels, calculated for the purpose of paying commissions and bonuses.
Inventory: A supply of Elements for Life inc. products and merchandise in sufficient quantities to supply your customers and your personal needs. (NOTE: Elements for Life inc. Policies & Procedures Handbook defines specific guidelines as to appropriate inventory levels. You should not exceed these guidelines.)
IR (Independent Representative): (Same as Independent Distributor) an independent contractor whose Distributor Application and Agreement has been accepted by the Company. Upon acceptance of such Agreement by the Company, a Distributor is eligible to purchase the Company's products at a wholesale price for resale and can enroll and mentor other people into his / her sales Organization. A Distributor is eligible to earn Commissions and Bonuses in accordance with the terms and provisions of the Compensation Plan.
Leg: Same as a "branch". Each Independent Distributor on your first level is part of your total Organization and is the beginning of a new "Leg" or "Branch". You may have as many legs as you want.
Level: Any IRs stemming directly from or connected to your own position are your first level weather you personally enrolled them personally or they were placed there by someone in your Sponsor or Enroller Lineage. The ones they Sponsor are your second level. The ones sponsored by your second level are your third level, etc.
Maintenance: The standard of performance involving an Independent Distributor that is required for that Independent Distributor to continue being "Paid As" a particular rank after meeting the initial qualification requirements for that rank.
Marketing Plan: In Network Marketing this is also known as the Compensation Plan. It is usually depicted in a graphic manner in a promotional brochure and in detail in the Company's manual.
Mentor: An Independent Distributor who agrees to be responsible for helping and developing another Independent Distributor with his business by teaching the new Distributor how to do the business, and by assisting, encouraging and supporting him or her. Every new Distributor must be mentored, either by an IR in good standing with Elements for Life inc., or by Elements for Life inc. As consideration for being a mentor, the Independent Distributor may earn bonuses based on the PBV of Independent Distributors in their Organization, as long as the mentor is considered Active and Qualified. While bonuses may be earned for by Mentor based on product purchases and training efforts, no payment is ever made for the mere act of recruiting or enrolling.
Network Marketing: Selling directly to the consumer through a "network" of independent contractors rather than through conventional outlets. Independent Distributors multiply their efforts directly and indirectly by enrolling and mentoring other Independent Distributors and are paid accordingly on the sales volume of multiple levels or "Generations".
Organization: Same as "Genealogy Tree". Those people directly enrolled by an Independent Distributor, plus all the people whose line of sponsorship resulted from and came through that Independent Distributor. Your Downline consists of all Independent Distributors in your entire Genealogy Tree through 7 Generations of Branching.
Paid As: Independent Distributors that have earned the various title designations according to their mentoring and sales performance will retain those titles indefinitely even if they do not meet the specified bonus qualifications in a pay period. However, they will be PAID AS the titled rank at which they meet bonus qualifications for the pay period.
Party Pod: a periodic gathering of Independent Distributors for the purpose of introducing and explaining and experiencing transformational health information movies, and products and how to create more prosperity and abundance in life with our entrepreneurial prosperity program.
Personal Qualification Volume: (PQV) Personal Qualification Volume is the total value of all product sold by an IR during an entire pay period calculated for the purpose of meeting Achievement Title promotions and monthly maintenance qualifications. ( See also QV)
Policies & Procedures: The governing rules of Elements for Life inc. that define the relationship between the Company and its Independent Distributors, as well as between Independent Distributors and other Independent Distributors. The Policies & Procedures are specifically incorporated into and made a part of the Independent Distributor's Agreement, which each Independent Distributor must sign in order to enroll.
Preferred Customer: A preferred customer is a customer who receives a discount by participating in the monthly superfoods program but does not participate in the distribution program Customers may choose to join our Preferred Customer Club and receive a discount on their future purchases. The BV generated by preferred customers is assigned to the level at which they are placed.
Primary Branch: Refers to all Independent Distributors directly stemming from a distributors position (front line), weather they are personal or spillover. You are a primary branch for your Sponsor and a Secondary Branch for your Sponsor’s Sponsor. All distributors on your 1st Level are your “Primary Branches” (See Levels)
Prospect: A person who has identified themselves as a potential business partner in the Elements for Life inc. Prosperity Program business opportunity.
Pyramid: A term used by government regulators to describe an illegal gaming/gifting/ or lottery scheme, which are hierarchal structures where the only "product" is money itself and are designed to enrich a few at the expense of the many. A simplified legal definition is "selling the right to sell" where one is paid for recruiting others. Legitimate Network Marketing is not a pyramid.
Qualified: An Independent Distributor that is "Active" and "Qualified" for their titled positions during a pay period to be paid according to his or her titled rank in Elements for Life inc. marketing plan is known as Fully Qualified. (See "Active")

Qualification Value (QV): Qualification Value is the Value a Product is assigned for the purpose of meeting Achievement Title promotions and monthly maintenance qualification. Gold Rush has a $40 QV. So for example, if you wanted to a Personal Qualification Volume (PQV) of $120, then you could do so on the Business Volume of 3 bottles of Gold Rush.
Records: This is an accounting or the descriptions of purchases, gas mileage, meals, trips, meetings attended, training, etc. usually to be used a proof of the tax deductions available for your home based business.
Recruiting: Inviting others to join your organization to share the same opportunity.
Renewal: Elements for Life inc. Independent Representatives must renew their Distributor Agreement each year no later than the anniversary date of their joining Elements for Life inc. If a Distributor does not renew their relationship with Elements for Life inc., they will be dropped from the computer files and their Organization will be moved up to the next active Distributor. (Called Roll-up) If they wish to at a later date, they may not reclaim their previous Achievement Title or Organization, but must re-join at entry level in the program.
Retail: Sales of Elements for Life inc. products to the end users of those products. Retail sales is the foundation of your Elements for Life inc. business, and the ultimate purpose of all other activities within the business, including enrolling, placing, training, etc.
Retail Profit: The difference between the wholesale purchase price and the price that an IR sells the product to a customer for is the Retail profit. Retail Profits should not to be mistaken for Bonuses or commissions, which are additional, and separate income streams paid as overrides on the business volume of your Organization. Regardless of your rank, you have the opportunity to purchase and sell products and services and receive a retail commission on all of Elements for Life inc. products and services.
Roll-Up: The permanent form of Compression. When an Independent Distributor terminates his Distributor Agreement or does not exercise his yearly renewal, his entire Organization rolls upline to his Sponsor or the next qualified person and his name is deleted from the Company records. (See "Compression").
70% Rule: Seventy per cent (70%) of products obtained Elements for Life inc. must be retailed or consumed before reorders are made.
Sales Organization: Your Sales Organization consists of you and the people that you directly enroll as Independent Representatives, and the people that they enroll as Independent Representatives, and so on, and so on, and so on.
SV: Sales Volume
Spillover: Spillover is when a distributor's own first level is filled and a new enrollee is placed on the first level of another distributor within the enrollers organization.
Sponsor: The Sponsor is the IR with whom a newly enrolled distributor is directly placed and connected to in the network. Your position is a primary branch of your sponsors Organization. Your sponsor is the one you are directly linked to in the organizational structure even if your Enroller was someone else. The Sponsor and the Enroller can be the same individual but are often different in the case of Spillover.
Sponsor Lineage: This is your Sponsor, your sponsors Sponsor ect..., The Sponsor Lineage is the unbroken link of sponsors at each Generation or Level all the way back to the company, regardless of who the Enrollers are.
Suggested Retail Price: The retail price as suggested by the Company. An Independent Representative may sell the product or service for whatever price he or she chooses.
Upline: Same as Sponsor Lineage and includes both your upline sponsors and enroller Lineages
